I suggest testing if the server is listening on UDP port 443 using the netcat command:
# nc -vuzw 3 server2.domain.com 443
You may have to install that command if it's not available.
You posted the screenshot of the "Subscription -> FTP -> FTP user" screen.

When I disable Firefox's "Autofill logins and passwords," it works correctly. My bad... sorry!
However, the issue with the entire pop-up closing, when you click the [x] of the tooltip, remains when Firefox fills in the password. Something is not working as it should. It happens...
