Mail Enable / Plesk / IIS - How do you not protect Queues / Scratch Directory

Hi!

I ran the Mail Enable diagnostic report and it found the following item failed.

Resident AV Agent MailEnable attempted to copy the EICAR test virus to the SMTP Queues directory of your computer. This is necessary to determine whether your computer is running real time antivirus software. MailEnable determined that antivirus real-time protector software is ENABLED. IMPORTANT: You should either disable real time protector antivirus software or ensure that it does not protect MailEnable Queues and Scratch directory; otherwise you may experience 'blank' messages or inhibited server performance.

Where in Plesk V# 10.0.1 or IIS 6 (Server 2003) do you not protect MailEnable's Queue and Scratch directory with the AntiVirus software?

Please be as specific as possible.

TIA

Try doing this:

1. Access plesk
2. Click on the 'Settings' link on the left menu
3. Now click on the icon 'Mail Server Settings'
4. Then click on the Antivirus tab
5. Choose 'Scanning switched off' for Server-wide settings
