    Resolved Messages log not working?

A while ago I upgraded (from version 12.5) to Plesk Onyx. Today a few times I entered my password wrong by mistake. I wanted to see in the log what exactly happened. So I went to var/log to see the "messages" log. However, this file was empty except this line: ... rsyslogd: [origin...

Question Where is my database stored?

I think I've seen a back-up option in Plesk Panel somewhere, but I don't recall being able to backup a specific database to a specific location on the server. Can that be done? Because maybe I missed that option ...

Question Where is my database stored?

Yeah, that's easy ... but the only thing is that I have to login every few days to create a back-up. It would have been cool if it was done automatically every day. Well, I'll just have to use this option for now then. Thanks.

Question Where is my database stored?

My mistake ... I saw last update from 2011. However ... it looks complicated when I look at the screenshots. I just want to make a simple export. I'll look into this later when I have more time. If anyone else has tips how to easily back-up a database, please let me know :-)

Question Where is my database stored?

Thanks, but is seems quite old and way too complex for what I want. Maybe Plesk itself will come with a solution one day. For now ... I'm afraid it has to be done manually :-(

Question Where is my database stored?

Thanks for your reply. I did some research on automysqlbackup, but it seems I can't create a specific backup location for a specific database. What I want is to somehow get the .sql dump (of domain abcxyz.com) into my vhost directory (of domain abcxyz.com). So when I make a backup of the vhost...

    Question full hostname in plesk

It's just the name of your server. You only have to set it in Plesk. For example: server1.mydomain.com So 'server1' is the specific name of your server. If one day you'll have a second server, you can call it server2.mydomain.com

Question Where is my database stored?

    >> Go to the "Databases" section for the Plesk domain in question and click on "Export dump", you will be now able to store it on the server. Yes, I have seen that option. PHPMyAdmin also has an export option. But actually I was hoping there would be a physical file mydb.sql so I could create...

Question Where is my database stored?

Really? So nowhere on my server is a file that contains my database contents? :-s Then where is all this data stored? So if I understand correctly there is no mydb.sql file anywhere on the server, and the only way to create a back-up is from within Pleks of PHPMyAdmin?

Question Where is my database stored?

Hello SBDavid Thanks for your reply. I see that folder you are talking about. What I want is to make a backup from the database file with all of its content. In PHPMyAdmin I can export the database to mydb.sql. I thought there would be a file mydb.sql on the server as well. Am I wrong?

Resolved Did I upgrade PHP-version the correct/normal way?

Hi there, I wanted to upgrade 2 domains to PHP version 7.1. It worked, but I'm not totally sure if I did it the correct way. In Plesk Panel: - I installed PHP 7.1 using 'updates and upgrades' - I upgraded the PHP-version of the service plan (associated to the 2 domains) to version 7.1 * I...

Resolved Update iptables blocks site and admin-panel

Who's the man? Peter Debik is the man! :D Thanks! Now that is what you call a good explanation for a beginner like me. You were right. Firewalld was not installed. I followed your instructions and they worked!! At point 3 I had to remove the "/tmp/" part, but besides that everything seems to...

Hello Linulex / Jan, First of all. Thanks for taking the time to answer my question. I appreciate that. I'm not sure I totally understand you. Yes, I use Centos 7. That's correct. "centos 7, (and rhel7), uses standard firewalld, and not iptables. If you want to use/go back to iptables you...

Resolved Update iptables blocks site and admin-panel

Hello, I noticed that updating "iptables" and "iptables-panel" from within the Plesk panel, makes the Plesk panel and my website totally unreachable. I have to restore a backup now. What is wrong? Shouldn't I update iptables?
