Thanks ... but if it is Plesk that performs the updates ... doesn't this normally mean everything should be fine? Or isn't there any difference between updating in Plesk and updating manually using yum?

Update: Message is gone now! Updates appeared :-) Can I just update everything? There are 172 updates ...

UPDATE: I updated to Onyx 17.017. Everything seems fine, but when I go to System Updates it says: Error: The System Updates tool is already installing updates in automatic mode. Please try later. However, nothing seems to be updating ... any ideas what's going on?

You should not configure this manually, but from within your plesk panel. You should add a subscription and a domain from within the admin panel, not by manually changing hostfiles on the server.

That explains ... I'm using version 12.5.30. What should I do now? The Plesk home panel says I can Upgrade to Plesk Onyx 17.0.17 Should I do that?

The manual says I need to go to: Tools & Settings > the Server Management section > System Updates Why don't I see 'System Updates'? I do see 'Server Management' but no 'System Updates'. What am I missing here? (Using Plesk version 12.5.30)

Thanks theSilent I also use the server to send mails from my mail client at home to other people, so disabling outgoing mail would not be a good idea then, I assume. What I don't understand ... and please DO correct me if I'm wrong ... The manual says I can use port 587 to prevent some sort...

In order to "protect your server against unauthorized mail relaying or injection of unsolicited bulk mail" (as the manual says), in the mail settings I enabled message submission to allow sending emails through port 587. Am I supposed to block port 25 in the firewall now? I'm not totally sure ...

Reading about some new Plesk implementations regarding Let's Encrypt, I somewhere read that a new feature would be available in Plesk version 17. This actually made me wonder ... version 17 ??? ... but right now we are only at version 12.x So will there first be a version 13, 14, 15 and 16...
