    Resolved microcode.service, unit not loading

Hello, this isn't probably a Plexk issue, but perhaps somebody can help? On my VPS (CentOs7, Plesk Onyx MU#13) I am observing this kind of messages and I can't figure out what to do about it: Jan 24 13:18:15 vps dbus[730]: [system] Activating via systemd: service...

    Issue PHP-FPM segfaults

Hi Igor, thanks, I think I have enough RAM and processing power, but maybe you mean file handlers and similar stuff. Is there a document which lists that kind of resources and how can I check if they are adequately sized, please? Regards

    Issue PHP-FPM segfaults

Hello, after upgrading to the latest Centos 7 release I am seeing a few segfaults of the kind: Dec 14 17:01:22 vps kernel: php-fpm[57843]: segfault at a636 ip 000000000000a636 sp 00007ffe97962208 error 14 in php-fpm[400000+385000] Dec 14 17:02:02 vps kernel: php-fpm[57853]: segfault at a636 ip...

    Resolved What caching and how

Hi themew, thanks for your suggestions; I checked and opcache is already there and enabled, thus I guess I am quite adequately setup already and no need to worry further about optimizing. Regards

    Resolved What caching and how

Hello, I am using Plesk Onyx on a CentOs7 more or less out of the box. Most of my subscriptions run regular wordpress websites and I configured them to use FPM-nginx (on php7), which I am quite happy with. I also enabled gzip compression. In the context of further improving speed and server...

Issue WP home pages redirected to plesk standard page

Hi, thank you for the information, I'll make sure I do not have an index.html for WP subscriptions, in other cases I have to keep them. Coming back to the shared/dedicated IP I found our that the reverse DNS check performed by some smtp gateways fail and they reject emails generated by the...

Issue WP home pages redirected to plesk standard page

Well, apparently the culprit was a index.html file sitting there; weird, as I had no issue on the other server with that. Anyway, good to know. I am still puzzled by the dedicated/shared IP issue of the migrator. I still have a few to migrate and I wonder what sort of a problem I am building up...

Issue WP home pages redirected to plesk standard page

Hello, I have a new CentOs with Onyx installation and started to migrate a few wordpress websites (subscriptions) from another server, using the plesk migrator under tools&settings. At first I was blocked by the dedicated IP address (the message was: "There is not enough free exclusive IPv4...

Resolved mysql 5.5 and query cache size

Hi, on my installation I have noticed that the query_cache_type is ON, but the size is 0. I edited /etc/my.cnf to include the query_cache_size, but it is ignored, even after a reboot. Perhaps Plesk uses a different file for that or is it somewhere in the Plesk interface? Could not find it...

Issue Plesk FW interface and iptables

Further to this, I found out I have at least 2 files run at startup in /etc/init-d, one called firewall (with bad rules) and another one called psa-firewall, which executes a script (I guess using the Plesk interface rules). Shall I disable firewall? Why Plesk does not disable it when its rules...

Issue Plesk FW interface and iptables

Fail2ban is not the culprit, it was disabled and the issue still occured meanwhile. Last night there was a kernel crash and the system rebooted (it could have been at VMWare level, not sure). Anyway, I suspect my iptables were set to initial state during reboot by: - kernel: ip_tables: (C)...

Issue Plesk FW interface and iptables

Fail2ban has been restarted several times. If those errors are normal, then what is causing my iptables to be reset at an initial state that misses important elements and which causes my 504 nginx? It's systematic, not random, it has been going on from the beginning of this VPS, more than 2...

Issue Plesk FW interface and iptables

Not starting fail2ban at startup did not solve it (iptables reset still happening), but I found out that fail2ban, by the look of it, tries to reset the iptables at shutdown. If there's a reboot now fail2ban logs a bunch of errors indicating it tries to intervene in the iptables. Could that be a...

Issue Plesk FW interface and iptables

Hi Igor, that problem and associated patch seem to apply to centos 7, not 6. But perhaps I should try and prevent fail2ban from loading at system start. How would I do that, by the way?

Issue Plesk FW interface and iptables

Hello, the saga on this continues, but I have some new information. To summarize, after system reboot, the iptables rules are not kept and some default version is loaded (causing websites to be unavailable, 504 nginx timeout). I am obliged to go to the Plesk FW runles, disable them and re-enable...

Question Plesk updates - Broken pipe error message

It's a VPS on VMware. I ran last night an fsck on the main partition (sda1) and all looks fine, but the error is sitll there. There seems to be plenty of inodes free still. The disk space looks ok, except on those tmpfs and devtmpfs Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on rootfs 23G 14G...
