    Issue Cannot enable opcache

Ah, thanks. We are setting up a new server (created Feb 2019) with a handful of PHP 5.5 sites. Apparently the default in that file is to have it off? I've not edited it. All other versions have it commented out: # grep opcache.enable= /opt/plesk/php/*/etc/php.d/10-opcache.ini...

Issue Page not loading correctly with Onyx

Well for instance http://paintingsbydavid.ntso.com/eyescream/razzberry_thumb.jpg shows a 404 error so it is in that directory and the permissions are correct? What does error_log show?

    plesk-php56-fpm Error log is huge

@Nerigal if you change the web site to run PHP as FastCGI instead of PHP-FPM I suspect it will work. I believe there is a common log because the PHP-FPM process is shared so it is has only one log file. On our older PPA platform FastCGI logs in each vhost directory.

Question Backup up the whole server

It's a little more complex to set up than a simple rsync, but we us rdiff-backup to back up an entire server. It uses a combination of rsync and diff to maintain versioning. You do have to be able to run it on the remote server so it doesn't work with say FTP. We set it up to run overnight on...

Resolved fail2ban.filter [1946]: WARNING Unable to find a corresponding IP address for...

@CoyoteKG , in Tools & Settings / IP Address Banning / Jails, ensure you have turned on the desired jails. I believe they are off by default and fail2ban won't block anything it finds until some are turned on. Plesk has a KB article on the IPv6 error: Fail2Ban warning: Address family for...

Resolved Can't get php versions to serve .html as php

I asked support and within a few hours they sent me the info on connecting to the PHP-FPM socket: 1) add this to "Apache & nginx Settings" for the domain under "Additional directives for HTTPS" (and/or HTTP): <IfModule mod_proxy_fcgi.c> <Files ~ (\.html$)> SetHandler...

Question Slave DNS Manager - master OS, use existing slaves

We are thinking of migrating our system from Parallels Plesk Automation, which we have set up with three DNS-only nameservers (CentOS). We just started talking to a prospect who is looking for multiple Windows servers. Can we use Plesk Onyx on Windows, with the Slave DNS Manager extension, and...

Question Plesk create alias mail address for each alias domain

Hi B4c4rd1, based on our experience with PPA 11.5 (Plesk 11.5), any domain created as an alias will silently set up email aliases for all email addresses at the primary domain (testdomain1.de). So if you create [email protected], then [email protected] through [email protected] actually...

Input has anyone made the jump yet?

Thank you for verifying, Anthony. But overall, if we are are managing DNS slaves separately, and don't/won't have Windows support for our Windows service node (Question - Windows Linux mix), and have to manage subscriptions manually, basically what we get for $250/month for 25 servers is a...

    Question Migration path from PPA

Well, our other option would be to arrange for an external DNS service and coordinate changing nameservers on the 20-30% or so of domains not registered through us, which was a giant hassle when we moved to PPA. We're used to disabling SELinux for PPA.

Input has anyone made the jump yet?

Hmmm, OK, I was afraid of that. But if everything was under one subscription would that "stick" to the one service node? For instance if they have a subscription that allows 50 web sites, Multi Server would not scatter those across service nodes would it? I'm envisioning a scenario where we...

    Question Webmail

I'm not finding anything in the docs about webmail being included with Multi Server? Does it just connect to webmail on the actual service node? In PPA webmail was run on the management node which connected via IMAP to the client's mail server.

Input has anyone made the jump yet?

I don't think I got a notification of your reply/question so sorry for responding late. We have been using Plesk Automation. If a customer wants a VPS, we create a new container in Virtuozzo and add it to PPA as a service node. Then we use attributes and a custom subscription template to tie...

    Question Windows Linux mix

Stumbled on this thread and surprised to read the roadmap entry of "Windows platform support" means that we would need a complete separate installation of Multi-Server on Windows nodes? For 1 or maybe 2 Windows servers why not just use regular Plesk?

    Question Migration path from PPA

I see Plesk developed a Slave DNS extension (Slave DNS Manager Plesk Extension). Could that be used in conjunction with Multi-Server? That would provide a path of: - move mail accounts to the customer's VPS server instead of central mail servers - have each customer's server set up to have...

Issue Not impressed with how sign in works

I was kind of hoping it was, based on the timing of Odin killing off PPA and not having a replacement that is affordable or even workable for some customers. :-(

    Question Migration path from PPA

The roadmap is here: https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/onyx/multi-server-guide/about-plesk-multi-server/the-roadmap-for-delivering-plesk-multi-server-features.77464/ It looks like at least a few months between updates so seems like we'd be looking at several months at least.

Input has anyone made the jump yet?

We have Parallels Plesk Automation now. We signed on using their "number of websites" license. Meaning, the license had a maximum of 200, 500, 1000, etc. web sites in the system instead of buying one license per service node. We have a lot of smaller VPSs so at a per-node fee Parallels/Odin...

    Question Migration path from PPA

That would be a great option. I saw on the roadmap Windows isn't supported yet, and we do have a few sites. Also centralized mail servers and shared DNS servers are still on the roadmap last I saw, so we'd have to wait for those also. Will definitely check back later, and look into the...

    Question Migration path from PPA

As I suspected since the split announcement, Odin is killing off PPA (Parallels Plesk Administration). However they are doing so with little warning, very little timing (as in, days), poor communication, and only a possibility of a migration path to Odin OAE which as I understand it would cost...
