Ok, Found out the problem: ConfigServer set with SMTP_BLOCK = On. With that option set to OFF, all traffic is now going fine.

Try to change the "auth_mechanisms = plain login cram-md5 apop" setting for dovecot (I solve it there). Be careful: sometimes the setting gets restored, so you'll have to change it again.
