Issue dr.web running but no log file / users

It seems dr.web is not working although it is running. I am no longer receiving email notifications that it has detected a virus, and there is no log file. I purchased a licence recently and installed the key. The email accounts have been set up to check incoming messages. No log file at this...

Thanks for your help Peter. I like that simple solution for submitting a form securely.

Resolved secure form submission to email account

I'd like to be able to send form results via email, securely to a gmail user. It seems sendmail by default will send unencrypted. I found a small amount of information online about sending mail via SMTP using PEAR. I didn't see anything about this on the talk.plesk.com website. To complicate...

    Bring back per-incident paid support

I'm glad to see Plesk is offering per-incident support again. Is there a per-incident fee on top of the $10 a month? In other words when I have a service request am I then paying something additional? Is this a 24x7 service?

Resolved Access Log changes in v. 12.5?

The problem, in part, was that I was generating my traffic reports using the access_log_processed not access_ssl_log_processed on accounts I had recently moved to SSL. The access_log_processed had a lot of hits from bots apparently and so looked like a normal traffic report.

Resolved Access Log changes in v. 12.5?

Danke UFHH01. That's very helpful. I'll have a look at Fail2Ban. 8 jails currently. I see that the Webalyzer report for affected domains shows zero files for the month. Other domains show a number for files.

Resolved Access Log changes in v. 12.5?

August access logs also 30% - 50% lower using Plesk 12.5 vs 12. Something had to have changed in how log files are compiled (i.e. new logs might show more search spiders than old logs, changing "unique visitor" numbers). Any way to see what -- if any -- changes occurred in log file creation...

Resolved Access Log changes in v. 12.5?

I upgraded to Plesk 12.5 in June and my July access logs for client domains were mostly 30%-50% smaller with 30%-50% less traffic as well. Clients I have on a cPanel server didn't show any drop in traffic. Which makes me wonder if something changed in how access log files are created in Plesk...

Horde: how to allow HTML emails

Is Horde set to not show HTML because it is a security risk? Can anyone advise on that. My clients would like HTML email. Secondly, the instructions here https://kb.plesk.com/en/119478 say to edit two files. However, when I went to edit the first file, I say a note "IMPORTANT: do not edit this...

    Bring back per-incident paid support

I signed up for Syslint's $50 a month program and have been very happy with the support I have received so far. They are very quick to reply to my tickets and to take action on them.

expired "Parallels" SSL cert and email issues

I paid a service to fix this issue. I don't know what they did but it's properly configured now. I'll assume I missed a step somewhere in the instructions.

expired "Parallels" SSL cert and email issues

Now my admin mailbox is filling up with error message emails with subjects like this one: Postfix SMTP server: errors from m165.salsalabs.net[69.174.83.165] And when trying to send from webmail I get an error message "Could not open secure TLS connection to the server" [root@my-hosting share]#...

I followed the instructions on this article (https://kb.odin.com/en/118917) and replaced the certificates in the following files: /etc/postfix/postfix_default.pem /usr/share/pop3d.pem /usr/share/imapd.pem I then restarted these services: # /etc/init.d/courier-pop3d restart #...

    Bring back per-incident paid support

I'm looking for support alternatives. I found this company called Syslint. Anyone have experience with them or know anything about them? I found some reviews online which were mostly favorable. Prices seems reasonable, but not "per-incident". https://syslint.com/plesk-server-management/

    Bring back per-incident paid support

I occasionally used per-incident support and found it invaluable. I see the partner programs start at over $1,000 per month. That's not affordable for my small hosting business running off a VPS on Media Temple. Buying a license directly would mean I'd have to migrate all my accounts to another...

    Alternatives for Span-assassin

If you've tried all the suggestions from trialotto and still are not satisfied you could consider MagicSpam. I've been mostly happy with this 3rd party product (about $12 a month). It can be a bit overly aggressive depending how you set it up (you choose which spam blacklists to enable).

expired "Parallels" SSL cert and email issues

Thanks for the follow up! I was able to connect mail using mail.hostname.tld. I'll buy a cert for that and see how it goes.

expired "Parallels" SSL cert and email issues

Faris, thanks for your reply. If I'm understanding correctly when you say "Asking all customers (on a shared IP) to use domain.tld solves the other issue." you mean that if I tell them to set incoming and outgoing mail server to be my server domain name rather than their domain name that will...

expired "Parallels" SSL cert and email issues

I have a client who is having difficulty setting up Mac Mail due to a certificate not being trusted. Choosing "trust" is not resolving the issue. I'm wondering if having an expired Parallels self-signed certificate could be contributing to this problem. If I create a new certificate, will I...
