I really wouldnt use AD with plesk. We had that and had many issues. Also I dont think they recommend it anyway. When we used AD even under Websitepanel a few years before moving to plesk we had similar issues there to Hence for shared web hosting I wouldnt recommend you use Active Directory...

On plesk for windows backup manager would be nice if we could hide the Schedule button for Users and resellers. Reason is we do daily incremental and now customers do backups aswell which creates duplicate backups taking up unnecessary space.

Best thing is to enable error logs so when yoi start mysql it will inform you what is wrong in the config file
