Issue Redirect all undefined subdomains to main domain not working

Create example.com in Plesk Set preferred to www.example.com for example.com Create "*" (wildcard) subdomain *.example.com, which points to httpsdocs of example.com If you got subdomains defined like smtp.example.com, they will work like normal. If non-existant subdomains are chosen e.g...

    Wordpress toolkit: change default wp-config-settings?

@IgorG Any chance to add custom Wordpress changes to wp-config.php ? Disable wp-cron already is a wp-config.php change. Enabling custom wp-config changes would be the last tidbit of coolness :)

Question Weird nginx directive by Plesk team?!?

Err no. I use nginx caching as part of a 3-layered agent-based caching concept in front of Apache/pagespeed with a CDN at the edge, where my nginx cache settings are used as parameters for CDN caching ;) (meaning I set my cache directives in every header for each type optimized for this theme...

Question Correct way to configure mail/postfix for admin/root on a new installation?

Great - thank you. Two concerns remain, where I dont know Plesk for sure: 1. system user emails: I have 3 additional system users root, mylogin for suid and a third. How can I ensure those are send externally too? Configure on OS level or does Plesk handle those too? (In the past I just set...

Question Correct way to configure mail/postfix for admin/root on a new installation?

Situation: new Obsidian server on CentOS DNS is external (non plesk) Domain mail servers are external (non-plesk) WebSites _(the server) needs to send emails by e.g. webforms, mailing lists,... Configuration: SPF in DNS Question - What is the correct Plesk server configuration in above...

Question Weird nginx directive by Plesk team?!?

Yeah I am with you. My point yet is: What is that snippet meant to do? It stops caching, once a cookie is present. That is pointless! If it is meant to disable caching for logged in users, or for commentators, or... by then you need something completely different, like # POST...

Question Weird nginx directive by Plesk team?!?

In all due respect, what does Plesk dev team try to achieve with this snippet? set $no_cache ""; set $cache_cookie $http_cookie; if ($cache_cookie !~ "^\s*$") { set $no_cache 1; } Alot of plugins set cookies eg. with Wordpress and they have...

    Resolved Onyx, Google-Mail-error

It seems there are two basic solutions to this issue: - long-time solution: really enable and run own mail, DNS,... on Plesk with SPF,... This also adds the option to fully configure DMARC,.. which additionally improves on domain reputation. - SPF-only: Google Mail basically checks if there is a...

    Resolved Onyx, Google-Mail-error

Situation: Plesk onyx 17.8.11 on CentOS Linux 7.6.1810 Server usage: web hosting only, no DNS (DNS is hosted externally), no local mail boxes, server sends emails (from hosted webapps, Plesk, system,..) This leads to errors with Google Mail: Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 550-5.7.1 This message does...

    Issue Email System

Its a simple gmail 5.7.1 meaning your Mail-server is not considered reliable/safe. This is a more complex requirement in configuration, mostly due to Google. Most likely you can mail to some others, but google doesnt accept mailers, which dont comply to their minimum requirements. Or in other...

Question Install Latest version of nginx

Compiling is not Plesk specific, but its OS-specific. Actually compiling is, where also geeks sometimes fail a lot. Some hints/rule of thumb: Compiling in general forces you to install a development environment, which can be quite complex. Jut review and be sure you didnt open the server...

Resolved Make settings for apache and nginx available for Users

Stable has nothign to do with "not applied to the current configuration". I dont think you know exactly what you are talking about with the "crash". If you do, you may reconsider nginx restart under Plesk, when a user initated change was not applied aka the change is not applied but isntead the...

Resolved Make settings for apache and nginx available for Users

Hi Igor, err sorry, I disagree. On settings which dont work, Plesk doesnt apply them (nginx -t anyone?). And in case of Apache, wrong settings can be applied via .htaccess, which makes the single web server for this domain (only) inaccessible in worst case. So crashing the web server is not...

Issue Cannot access 8443 port with http

Yes since its secured. Meaning: Plesk only listens on 8443. As soon as you try to access via 8080, the request is forwarded to Plesk internal web server, which denies acess via http. Hence "Connection refused".
