Question Sudo user doesn't have permission to use sudo

Yes, this is the exact case in this scenario I now know. If I do that logged in as root, then it does switch shell to the user but there is no difference at all with what they can or can't run. Yes, the user is in this one according to /etc/passwd - /usr/local/psa/bin/chrootsh

Question Is there any way to set up a scheduled task for Magento like this in the Plesk interface?

Thanks for your help @Kaspar - yes, my other post you linked to was as a result of not being able to create the crontab under the system user as needed in this post. I have already granted the system user shell privileges and I had already tried to crontab to the system user from root exactly...

I've granted sudo access manually to the main subscription user within Plesk yet when I do su username, it doesn't have access to use the sudo command, for example:- sudo: command not found I'm not sure if there is something I have missed. Surely it is possible to do this?

Question Is there any way to set up a scheduled task for Magento like this in the Plesk interface?

I had already tried that but when you try to run the job from the Plesk interface, it just fails with a 'No such file or directory' error message... It doesn't seem to like the command.

Question Is there any way to set up a scheduled task for Magento like this in the Plesk interface?

We absolutely have to run cron jobs for Magento as the system user that owns all the Magento files and folders and Plesk makes this very difficult. I've resorted to actually trying to run a crontab as the user by adding and allowing it to run cron jobs (albeit if I log in as this user to SSH...

Question Suddenly getting loads of 'Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender' failures from mailer-daemon

Our helpdesk software already sends and receives mail via Google and is configured like so. And the only entries in that mail log browser are failed attempts to connect to the email server.

Question Suddenly getting loads of 'Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender' failures from mailer-daemon

The emails are legitimate notifications from our third party helpdesk software and these are bounce messages that are being rejected because Google won't accept emails from our server mailer daemon (server IP address) - the entire mail service on our server is disabled as we use Google for...

    Question Help with Nginx configuration

Thanks for taking the time to reply. This is just out-of-the-box WordPress sites for example with permalinks enabled. With default Nginx in Plesk, none of the URLs work except the homepage, probably as it tries to rewrite them to SEO-friendly versions. I don't think a suggestion to use Apache...

Question URL redirects/rewrites via additional Apache/Nginx directives

Running PHP 7.1 FPM application served by Nginx Nginx proxy mode is not checked. Serve static files directly by nginx is not checked. I simply cannot get URL rewrites to work via Additional Nginx Directives... I don't think I have ever managed to achieve this. Example: rewrite ^/source_path$...

Question Can I receive emails from Plesk on server if I disable mail server?

We're advising all clients that we host to use a third party provider for email (such as Google GSuite) so that we don't have to run mail servers. I was wondering though, can system admin still receive email from Plesk on the server (things like resource usage notifications or updates) with the...

Question How do you cease all queued outgoing email?

A client of ours attempted to send out an email newsletter to thousands of their subscribers directly via our mail server. Whilst we have limitations in place for protection configured in Plesk (a limit of 50 per hour), we'd prefer to just cease all future emails that the client has scheduled...
