I am also having the same issue with Plesk Windows not creating a bind dns record for a new domain, This happened when I was restoring the domains from Plesk 8.4 to a new plesk 8.6, It seems like all domains except for one did not get a dns record created.

If anyone knows another way around this, I mainly just want to edit some mysql tables because plesk is reporting the name servers of one of my domains as the hostname which is shouldn't since the main hostname is different. So when I try to add a NS to this one site specificaly, instead of...

I tried it both ways and didn't have any errors displayed so I'm not sure what it's doing or if it's having errors.

I'm assuming the login is "admin" for the psa admin, as thats is what I've seen everywhere else, is that correct? I already tried running the plesksrvclient and changing the pw with the "true" setting but it hasn't changed it.

Obviously you can't read, I tried this already and it didn't change ANYTHING.

That doesn't work, that is for the client database, I'm looking to change the Admin database login, not client. And I tried to use the true setting, it doesn't change anything.

How can I reset the psa admin password? I'm trying to connect so that I can edit something in the main plesk database (not client) and I haven't been able to login with any passwords that I know of, maybe because I did a restore from a previous plesk that might of had a different admin...

Nevermind actually, Had a HD failure which could be why I had so many issues with plesk, so I got a new HD and setup Windows and Plesk fresh and its working seamlessly now :)

I thought the upgrade from Plesk 7.5.6 to 8.1 would be better than upgrading from 7 to 7.5, but oh was I wrong... First once I actually got it working by uninstalling 7.5 and installing a clean 8.1, the first thing I noticed was the IIS Shared Plesk Pool doesn't work, so I fixed that by...

Well the thing is when I loaded Plesk 8.1 and loaded my backups I noticed that the shared IIS Plesk POOL doesn't work when I turn it on, so I had to choose "individual pools for each domain" and my domains work that way, so I'm not sure what to do now if it's the IIS POOL, php is working fine...

whats the resolution you used? I think I may be having the same error, In plesk I see bind is off for some reason and it takes long to start if at all through the web interface.

I'm having a similar issue with webmail. I did a fresh install of plesk 8.1 and restored my 7.5.6 profiles/backups everything else but webmail is working fine now. I am getting "Service Unavailable" whenever I try to go to webmail.domain.com, I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling...

Sorry to bring this thread up again but I am having similar problems, webmail.globalesp.org does not show the horde login page, dns is correct, webmail is enabled as far as I can see, anyone know what could be the error? thanks! :confused:

7.0.3, only reason I didn't upgrade to 7.5.x was because theplanet suggested not to do so since there were supposedly many errors happening, they just gave me that warning.

luckily for me, I uninstalled sp1 and my server wasn't locking up randomly nor did it have any problems with plesk

it seems to cause too many problems with 7.0.3 :/

is anyone's server locking up randomly? because mine has been ever since I installed SP1 :/ even though the sites were working after a few reboots, now it locked up again
