A couple questions

I work for CPASiteSolutions and we're in the process of investigating Plesk Expand to determine if it is a viable solution for us. We have a few questions that I haven't been able to find in the documentation or knowledge base.

    1. Can Expand manage both Plesk and HSphere servers?

    2. We have servers at several different data centers and were wondering if Expand is able to support cross-data-center DNS.

    3. What are the main challenges when initializing Expand as a management tool?
    - Will there be a need for down time?

    4. Are there any quirks when using Expand in conjunction with Plesk on Virtuozzo containers?
    - Do the containers need any sort of special configuration?

    5. Do you offer any sort of refund policy if a week down the line we realize that this product is not for us?

    6. We have both Linux and Windows servers that we will need to manage, is this possible and does it require extra licensing?

    Thank you in advance,

    Kyle Buser.

    1. No, why would it? They're two different products with no interop
    2. It depends on your network topology, ACL's, etc. If you're not using NAT, then maybe.
    3. Oh yeah expect downtime and plenty of bugs to deal with.
    4. No, we use expand in conjuction with Plesks running on VE
    5. n/a ask their sales directly. Don't fill out a ticket, just call them.
    6. Extra licensing is dependant on what you're doing. For example, you have to lease Plesk licenses for both Linux and Windows at $39.99 for 100 domain limit. Then you need CMAIL, CDATABASE, CDNS, etc. You also need the expand license as well. You should use their shopping cart to add the products to see how much you're looking at. Don't forget, you also have to pay for the SPLA licensing, etc.
