All SSL certificates switch to default cert after single domain restore.

Hello,

All SSL certificates on all domains switch to default server certificate after single restore is done on any of the domains. I can restore 1 database via plesk and then I have to switch all the certificates back to their original condition manually. Running Plesk 9.0.1 on Centos. I don't even know where to start troubleshooting.

Thanks,
Michael.

Exact same problem here

We are having the same problem here. Same exact platform, Plesk 9.0.1 on CentOS. For some obscure reason, domains reverts to the default plesk certificate a bit randomly. I would really need this to be fixed ASAP since I have no idea what triggers this and I can't sleep on the server to revert those certificates by hand everytime. Could a Plesk dev check on this please?

I can confirm this happens whenever we restore any backup or migrate any account on this server using the Plesk backup procedure that replaces the Migration Assistant temporarily.

Additionally I can find this in /var/log/sw-cp-server/error_log:

2009-03-10 11:51:13: (connections.c.299) SSL: 1 error:140940E5:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:ssl handshake failure
2009-03-10 11:51:19: (connections.c.299) SSL: 1 error:140940E5:SSL routines:SSL3_READ_BYTES:ssl handshake failure
2009-03-10 11:51:46: (connections.c.299) SSL: 1 error:140780E5:SSL routines:SSL23_READ:ssl handshake failure

I can confirm that this bug is still present in plesk 9.2.1. Using the migration manager to migrate a domain reset all the ssl certificates on the server.

Parallels is aware of issue

I had a support ticket in with parallels and they said they were not able to reproduce the issue on 9.2.1 so I asked if updating was going to fix it and their reply was:

Update where the problem with reverting certificates is not yet available -- Parallels Plesk Control Panel developers are still working on the issue.

so we are in the que for a fix ..just no eta on when we'll see it

We are having the same problem.

Every time we synchronize from a 7.5 Plesk server all the certs on our 9.2.1 Plesk server gets reverted back to Default. Just really annoying because we have to switch every domain back to its proper cert. So the more domains I import the more certs I have to fix. This is a huge bug.

Is everyone just importing new sites and then manually changing the certs back? Or is there a faster way? I mean if i have 50 domains its going to be a pain.

Scott.

I am facing the same problem. Is there any fix for this ??

Plesk 9.2.3, issue is still present, happens every single time.
