BACKUP the entire serveur

Hello,

/plesk_installation_directory/ is usually /usr/local/psa

you can find it out in /etc/psa/psa.conf.

You could search for that file with locate :
locate pleskbackup

The filename is a filename of your own choosing.

Hi,
"locate pleskbackup" don't return any result.
I could confirm that the plesk installation directory is /usr/local/psa, but i can't find the file pleskbackup

Hello,

You were looking at the plesk 8.1 documentation.

Do you have plek 8 or 7.5.

On 7.5 I could not find eighter such file but on plesk 8 I did.

That is the problem !
I have PLESK 7.5.4, and i want to backup the entire server to upgrade to the lastest version of PLESK

Hello,

I am unfamiliar with the autoupdater , but if you want to update it manually , basically you have to backup the plesk key, and the psa database. (maybe the mailnames for spam assassin settings to be preserved-- in case you may need to unisntall spamassassin if something goes wrong)

Otherwise there should not happen any harm to your files.
Also befor upgrade get the new license key because plesk 8 key differs from the 7.5

I'm novice, so I prefer use the AutoUpdater, to have no problems.
I just want to backup all accounts, mails, stats...etc
I don't want to it manually, because i have a lot
