Blank emails after update to 9.2.3

After updating to 9.2.3 from 9.2 I am now getting 50+ emails per day addressed to anonymous, postmaster and root. The messages contain no sender, subject or body.

I have uninstalled DR.Web and ran the script /usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mchk --with-spam. Both had no effect.

Any ideas?

when you log into plesk - under mail server settings / check to see that ( for myself ) You only have Webmail
Available Webmail clients -- Horde 4.1.6 checked - Mine had AtMail 1.02 checked and that was giving me all the blank e-mails ...

I only have Horde installed. I verified that it was checked and turned it on for all domains. No change, I am still getting blank emails.

Here's the maillog from a test email:

I have the same problem. Since the upgrade to 9.2.3 I keep receiving about 50 blank emails. Reinstalling the server did not help.

I have the same problem to. Shame as this was a fairly minor upgrade. God only knows what would happen if this was a major one?

Blank email after update

Just checked and there seems to be a pattern to the blank emails. They seem to coincide with a cron job where the website emails me after the cron. I get the crom plus 3 different blank emails all at the same time. Seems too much of a coincidence although there are other times when I receive a blank email and there is no cron that I can see for the 4.08?

Blank email times repeated daily.

By the way I think the 4.08 has something to do with logrotate, which seems to be run about 4.08 daily.

Has anyone made progress on this issue? I've run into it myself since the upgrade to Plesk 9.2.3.

Got the same problem here. Since the upgrade to 9.3 it is even worse, getting almost every second an empty email send to the server administrator's email.

I have the same problem! It appears postmaster e-mail is looping. And then I also get a worrying:

Unable to get 'From:' string from SMTP session

This error has been reported in the forum here but no resolution yet, just the usual "check the handlers".

Blank emails after update

Looks like they are having the same problems in Germany:

http://serversupportforum.de/forum/...-mit-greylisting-funktioniert-nicht-mehr.html

NAmely:

df -k

It's the permissions on the folders? (especially spool?)

Then this:

http://forum.qmailrocks.org/showthread.php?t=4918

Permissions change on /var/qmail/queue, now "trouble injecting bounce"

And finally this:

http://qmail.jms1.net/scripts/qfixq.shtml

Just seen a massive drop in my server load and the

/usr/local/psa/var/log/maillog

has stopped growing at such an alarming rate.

Hope this helps someone but after the 9.3 update will need to take some time to recover fully.

I am having the same issue after moving Plesk from 9.2.2 to 9.2.3. We're using CentOS 5.3. Postmaster is getting exactly 6 blank emails per minute without fail. Disabling Dr. Web and SpamAssassin has no effects. I tried the patch located at http://forum.parallels.com/showpost.php?p=393531&postcount=24 and I started getting one email per second, this time with [email protected] listed as the sender. The problem did go away for a few hours during the day but it's back and I have no idea how to stop it. It appears that all emails are sending OK but this is really annoying to deal with. I am nervous to reinstall psa-qmail since it seems I have to manually remove the package first? I'm very worried about what effects this might have, especially since our clients aren't experiencing any issues currently. Do you think upgrading to Plesk 9.3 will solve the issue?

After upgrading to Plesk 9.2.3 I was getting 6 completely blank emails per minute. I then tried to update psa-qmail as per everyone's suggestions using:

wget -q -O - http://www.atomicorp.com/installers/atomic.sh | sh
yum update psa-qmail

I am now getting literally HUNDREDS of email per minute, this time sent from postmaster. What really sucks is that Parallels will make me pay to fix the problem.

Parallels is not allowing me to post to the forums!!

I have followed all of the advice here and have tried to post information on my setup. Lord knows if parallells will allow it to be posted. From my maillog:
