    Why is it that my default page says CentOS when I have RHE3 intalled?

    It started once I ran "yum update".

    now my default page for IP's say CentOS instead of RHE3.

    that is caused because you now have centos httpd and not rhel httpd.

    nothing to worry really, as centos is a perfect exact clone of rhel.

    if you want to get rid of it.

    rpm -e httpd;up2date -i httpd.

    backup your configuration files first

    It is easier to maintain a single repository which satisfies both EL3 and CentOS, and since the newer is CentOS, naming things with CentOS. Of course, I could be mistaken...
