Domain Traces Left Behind

I'm trying completely remove a domain because it is not being configured properly(Goes to plesk default page). After removing it from the control panel, im also removing any traces left behind using locate domain.com

then manually deleting it. However when I do a search using locate mydomain.com i see /var/www/vhosts/mydomain.com/etc/bla/bla

what do i do so this wont show up as i have clearly deleted it all.

i take it you are located this via ssh ?

Its prob just cached?

update your locate database

yes, through ssh. can you be specific please on updating the database. how exactly would i do that and what would i do. thank you.

im not sure how if it works for all OS's this way..

/usr/libexec/locate.updatedb

I tried this, nothing changed. another interesting thing is, i have a subdomain and when i go to http://subdomain.mydomain.com it comes up works fine but the funny thing is when i go to var/www/vhosts/mydomain.com/subdomains

this subdomain isnt even there

when i use the locate command the subdomain comes up but its nowhere there. pleeease help.
