FTP unable to upload

Hi all

Whenever I create a new domain, the client although being able to access it and download from it cannot upload via FTP. Still, they can do it from the filemanager in the plesk admin.

I tried putting some things in conf or chmodding httpdocs 777 but without results

dreamweaver FTP says
error occurred - An FTP error occurred - cannot put test.htm. Access Denied. The file may not exist, or there could be a permission problem.

If anyone can help, please do so

Thanks!

edit:
forgot to mention I could, of course, upload freely while logged as ROOT on XFTP

Hate to ask but got to ask the obvious, did you set the default directory to httpdocs ?

I fail to understand what you mean??

I have httpdocs directory for each vhost

in dreamweaver did you set the default directory to "httpdocs"

Or what happens when you ftp from a command prompt and then CD to httpdocs and PUT the file.

well if ftp from a command prompt works then the problem is NOT with plesk but with dreamweaver. I would delete the SITE in dreamweaver and and recreate.

it seems this is coming from dreamweaver

the user who I made the account to must be using it as well, I will suggest him to get flashXP since it seems to work with it

This is strange because having exactly the same configuration (on dreamweaver) I could access and upload stuff on a domain hosted on a friend's plesk managed server

Anyhow thanks a lot for the help! ;)
