Is it possible to upgrade the MySQL Server?

If it is possible please explain me how.

Thanks for help!

Hello Igor,

thanks for replying.
It works, but you have to rename the mysqlq.* files in the bin folder to mysqlq-nt.*, because in the mysql 5.1 version is no *-nt.* file in the bin folder.

The only reason to update was this select: SELECT 'a' = 'ä' this returns 1 .. but this isn't fixed. :(

Bernhard,

If I correctly understood it was not fixed in MySQL? Could you please let me know for what purpose you need this select?
Thank you.
