Hello,

I want to migrate a Plesk 7.5.4 to 8.0, from a server to another one.

I think solution is to go with personal script that backup user directories, mails, dns etc...

User management is made through psa database,
and database model is different from Plesk 7.5.4 to 8.0.
So I'm looking for sql script used during 7.5.4 to 8.0 migration process by plesk.

Is anyone know how to get them ?

Regards,

To be honest, no.

The reason why ?
Since backup/restore does not work from version 7 to 8, I wonder if it will be ok, but I can try.

Does anyone tried this migration manager before ? Anty feedback ?

Regards,

Hi,
I migrated two server from 7.5.4 to 8.0.0.

No problem.

Hello,

I'm sorry, but migration manager failed.
When trying to migrate every customers, it fails saying :

00:25:46 DEBUG DB bundle. id=group.mysql.sql:gzipped, destFile=/mnt/disquebackup/migration/supervisor.30936//group.mysql.sql
Argument "" isn't numeric in waitpid at IPC/Run.pm line 3381.

Argument "" isn't numeric in waitpid at IPC/Run.pm line 3381.
Argument "" isn't numeric in waitpid at IPC/Run.pm line 3381.
00:25:46 ERROR Failed to pack files

For me it is impossible to migrate using plesk tools !!
So I still hardly believe the only reliable way to migrate is to do that "manually".

So I come back to the first question:

how to get sql script used during 7.5.4 to 8.0 migration process by plesk ?

Or do I have to go with DirectAdmin ? (a reliable tool that should be taken in example !)

Just as a note, I cannot migrate from 7.5.4 to 8. I can't even get 7.5.4 to dump into files using the manual method. Who knows what will happen when I try to unleash those packages of fury on the 8 box.
