migration gone bad?

Sven L.

Regular Pleskian
Hello,

I transfered a lot of domains from a 9.5.4 to a 11.5.30 (centos 6.4)

this one domain is driving me nuts, when i log into the panel i am greeted with this warning at the top:
Parallels Plesk Panel 11 employs a new business model. The essential business objects were automatically converted during the upgrade: clients were converted to customers, domains to subscriptions, and so on. However, several extra steps are required to complete switching to the new model. The steps depend on the way you used a previous version of Plesk to organize your business, so they cannot be performed in a fully automatic manner. Please complete switching to the new Panel business model.
i also noted that the whole ftp of that domain had root:root as owner, but i fixed that with a chown easily

but i cant get rid of that warning. i clic on the link and accept all messages... and it just stays at it is.

when i go into the subscription, there is a new option called "apply solution" which gives me these options:
1) upgrade to customer
2) subscription with users
3) subscription without users

i tried all 3 options, nothing happens. and i have no clue what logs i should check.

the domain seems to be working, but this is annoying as hell, specially as installation and system is all brand new.

any suggestions?

Hi

If you read my previous post, you'll see I already followed the steps to fix the "Business model warning" and it didn't do anything.

Actually I didn't even get the yes/no input that is showed in your link.

I just double checked and I actually DO get that y/n popup
Former Domain administrator is upgraded to customer and becomes a subscriber, meaning that the subscription becomes assigned to them.
and after accepting I get the green text at the top
Information: The selected subscriptions were transitioned.
but it doesnt seem to work as the warnings dont go away and I still have the "apply solution" tab in the subscription

any help on this? i hoped mu#16 would fix it, but i still get this warning everytime i log into the panel.

just tried to apply the fixes again and then checked:

/usr/local/psa/admin/logs/panel.log

there is no new entry for the past 24h. so nothing is really happening when trying to apply the suggested fixes.

What about

# plesk log --all

well with that command i see the maillog and the access log.

i will send you a PM with a copy paste of the access log of the past few minutes. don't want to publish it as it might have sensitive data

Sorry, but access log is useless. Contact Support Team if you can't debug this issue. They will check and fix it directly on your server. I assume that there is some type of database inconsistency. It is really difficult to troubleshoot it through forum posting :)

Thx for your help

Thing is I only have 100 domain license, which doesn't include support.

One question: is there a way to clone/copy a domain/subscription including mailboxes and their passwords?

Then I would just delete this one domain and create it again and restore FTP and mailboxes.

When I had this issue with an 8.4 to 10.4.4 migration, the trick I used was to change the owner of the Subscription to someone else, then change it back to the original owner. Worked like a charm. I hope it does for you too.

that's one of the first things i tried, it didn't work

i think i'll end up deleting the domain and creating it again, but i need to know how to clone/copy mailboxes and their passwords
