Plesk installer updated php to 5.3.3 we need 5.3.21

What we have: 11.0.9 Update #60 running on CentOS 5.10 (Final)
Problem: After an update from Php 5.3.21 to Php 5.4, Plesk did not work anymore so we downgraded to Php 5.1 and used the Plesk installer to get back to Php 5.3.3 After this update many sites on the host aren't working optimum so we want to get back to 5.3.21 how can we do this without breaking plesk? Why: we needed soap

Are there any tutorials for recompiling php while not breaking Plesk ?
I did a recompiling and then i broke Plesk, that's the reason.
