Hi there,
We are running a Windows Server with Plesk 6.5 for some time now. Suddenly we get complaints about e-mail which doesn't work. When we looked at the Plesk services control (in the taskbar) we see that Plesk Mail Transfer Agent is not running. When we click start it runs for max 20 - 30 seconds. Then (after clicking refresh) it will display a black cross (not running).
We tried restarting the whole server which doesn't make any difference.
Relay is set to authorization required and we cannot start the Plesk Mail Transfer Agent. (We can start it but it shits down itself after 20 - 30 seconds).
The event log in Windows shows:
Event ID: 7034
The Plesk Mail Transfer Agent service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 5 time(s).
For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.
When I look at local services in Windows I see MEMTA.EXE stopped when the service is set to automatic. When I start it, it stops after 20 seconds running. I also see it in the Windows Task Manager getting bigger, 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5.2 MB memory and then it stops again without any reason!
Anyone knows what this problem is or does MailEnable have another log file?
Regards,.
Desmond
