Can we remove mailenable from windows when it is setup with the centralized mail server? I don't see the need to keep it running since it may cause more issues on the email deliveries and what not...

    Hello wsani,

Unfortunately Plesk requires that local mail server has to be on the box.
However you may stop it - go to Server > Services Management, select Mail Server and click Stop tool button.

Couldn't plesk use the MSSMTP service instead? I understand I can disable and stop the ME services. However, is this a security concern? Or doesn't it cause issues with local deliveries?

Yep, we are going to support MS SMTP.

No, it is not a security concern. However you are right - Plesk notifications will stop if you stop local Mail server and you will need to install and configure some local SMTP.
