Is there a way through Plesk to block an IP from accessing a website, we have aclient who wants to block certain ip's as they are abusing his forums or something like that, the only way i can see how to do it is he needs to send the ip's to me and i have to add them to IIS directly, any ideas

Thanks

Hey,

As far as I know there is no way to do this through Plesk or IIS directly.
I'm afraid you have to use firewall..

Forums usually have "IP Banning" which prevents access to the forum from certain IP's.

Option 1
I am sure whatever forum your client is using has this feature. The forum administrator is the only one that would have access to do this.

Option 2
Right click on the domain name in IIS, click on properties and then click on the Directory Security tab. You can restrict access to the domain by IP address.

Hope this helps!
