Hi,

Since i have updated plesk in 9.3 on debian lenny, i have a lot of errors in mail logs :
hostname qmail-queue-handlers[xxxx]: Unable to get 'From:' string from SMTP session
or
hostname smtp_auth: SMTP connect from (null)@xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx [xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx]
hostname smtp_auth: smtp_auth: SMTP user [email protected] : logged in from (null)@xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx [xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx]

Any ideas ?

This problem appears only with Plesk 9.3.0 ...
Thx in advance

Try to rebuild mailsettings with

/usr/local/psa/admin/sbin/mchk --with-spam

Thx IgorG, I tried again but it doesn't work ...

Any idea ? it's very strange ...

What is maillog do you mean? How it is affect your mail server operation?

This errors appears in /opt/psa/var/log/maillog :

hostname qmail-queue-handlers[xxxx]: Unable to get 'From:' string from SMTP session
hostname smtp_auth: SMTP connect from (null)@xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx [xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx]
hostname smtp_auth: smtp_auth: SMTP user [email protected] : logged in from (null)@xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx [xxxx.xxxx.xxxx.xxxx]

since I have updated my Plesk in 9.3.0.

In the same time, some errors appears with Outlook 2003 : 451 qq read error (#4.3.0)
See this thread
I have applied the given solution and it doesn't work.

With Plesk 9.2.3, no problem ...

So my experience with this update is not good ...

Try to reinstall with force psa-courier-imap package. If it not help please provide full part of log with reported problem.

See a part of /opt/psa/var/log/maillog :

Thx

I have just started receiving these error after upgrading from Plesk 9.2.3 to Plesk 9.3:

Jan 18 03:17:35 cm qmail-queue-handlers[10285]: Unable to get 'From:' string from SMTP session
Jan 18 03:17:35 cm qmail-queue-handlers[10294]: Unable to get 'From:' string from SMTP session
Jan 18 03:17:35 cm qmail-queue-handlers[10308]: Unable to get 'From:' string from SMTP session
Jan 18 03:17:35 cm qmail-queue-handlers[10319]: Unable to get 'From:' string from SMTP session
Jan 18 03:17:35 cm qmail-queue-handlers[10320]: Unable to get 'From:' string from SMTP session
Jan 18 03:17:36 cm qmail-queue-handlers[10326]: Unable to get 'From:' string from SMTP session

We have Ubuntu 8.04 LTS 64-bit.

As you can see from the above log these messages are generated very quickly, a few every second.

At the same time hundreds of postmaster messages are being generated, increasing the queue size:

root@cm:/var/qmail/control# /var/qmail/bin/qmail-qstat
messages in queue: 882

A few seconds later:

root@cm:/var/qmail/control# /var/qmail/bin/qmail-qstat
messages in queue: 937

It appears all mail is bouncing coming to Qmail.

Please assist urgently!

I have submitted request to developers regarding this problem. I will update this thread with results as soon as I receive it from developers.

Please we are desperate 12 000 mailboxes are bouncing.

As I wrote before, problem has been reported to development team. If you need urgent support - please contact Parallels support team.

Since upgrading to 9.2.3 I have problems with qmail, I got some blank emails from [email protected] .

After upgrading to 9.3, and now I have many more problems yet, hundreds of blank emails from postmaster, the error "Unable to get 'From:' ...", besides that many users have problems sending and receiving emails, many lost emails ...

I have Centos 5.2 64Bits

Any solution?
