    Hi,

    I've recently installed Expand on Virtuozzo container and the installation went fine.
    However, when I've tried to register our HWN, I've got the following errors:

    Linux HWN:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="no" ?>
    <packet action_id="4814" version="2.3.2.17">
    <add>
    <system>
    <status>error</status>
    <errcode>9001</errcode>
    <errtext>[SSH] Authentification failed.</errtext>
    </system>
    </add>
    </packet>

    The password is the same as I've double checked it, I even tried to enter different password and the same error appeared, I also tried to see if I can get from the Expand server to the Linux HWN by ssh and succeeded...so now I'm no where for an answer...

    Please remember that you need to connect to service node IP. For example,

    1. Login to HWN
    # ssh root@hwn.node.net

    2. Get containers list
    # vzlist
    CTID NPROC STATUS IP_ADDR HOSTNAME
    1 75 running 10.58.239.1 ServiceCT
    100 16 running 10.58.239.2 container100.hwn.node.net
    101 17 running 10.58.239.3 container101.hwn.node.net
    ...

    The service node is ServiceCT with 10.58.239.1 IP.

    3. Login to service node
    # ssh vzagent0@10.58.239.1
    vzagent0@10.58.239.1's password:
    <packet xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" id="0" priority="0" version="4.0.0">
    <origin>vzclient8-e61f9898-499e-5048-b8ad-e7e29c173946</origin>
    <target>agent</target>
    <data>
    <ok/>
    <eid>e61f9898-499e-5048-b8ad-e7e29c173946</eid>
    </data>
    </packet>
    ...

    To register Virtuozzo Hardware Node in Expand you need to use vzagent0@10.58.239.1 credentials.

    Thanks!

    It worked for me in registering my Linux HWN but when I've tried to register my Win HWN, I failed.
    I set the vzagent0 IP and reset the password for it, however the action report in Expand states that there was connection timeout:

    Can you connect to Win HWN manually by using 'ssh vzagent0@10.113.106.245' command?

    I think that you need to recreate the service node with enabled API 3.x compatibility mode.

    I've recreated the service node with API compability to VZ 3.x, didn't helped.
    Do I need to open port 22 on the Win HWN? I've tried to ssh from the expand console but clearly I failed.
    One more thing, I've tried to RDP to the service node but failed. What is supposed to be the user name? I've tried Administrator with the given pass but failed with that.

    You need to open port 22 on the Win HWN.
    You need to create account in the service node to login to it. The Administrator is disabled by default.

    OK, then I'll open port 22 and check it.
    However, how exactly can I create an account in the service node?

    I've just noticed something, I've tried to ping the service node from Expand and there wasn't any ping at all.
    The service node IP is private IP 10.3.52.20, so I wonder how should Expand connect to this server using this IP?

    1. You can assign to the Expan`s node the private IP address and provide route for IP packets between Expand and service node.
    2. You can add real IP address to the service node and secure this node by firewall settings.

    Yes! That finally did the trick! Now both of my HWN are registered.
    Thanks!
