Question Updating PLESK - Will old PHP versions remain installed and active?

Hello,

I want to upgrade Plesk version on one client's server, but I'm interested if older version of PHP will remain installed and active as they are now?
For example, if there is some website using older version, like 5.4, or 7.2, etc. will that stay there and be active with updating to latest PLesk version?

Current website may not work with newest version of PHP, so it's important that it stays with current version, and we will work on updating it after.

Plesk shouldn't touch components that is installed or not installed, just updates it (like 5.4.whatever to 5.4.newwhatever) if there's an update available, if you want to remove or add a new version you can do so at any time.

If you want to be 100%, I suggest doing the update through SSH and run plesk installer install-panel-updates to only update the panel

Refer to Plesk Updates for more information.

But honestly if you have clients on your server still running 5.x, I would recommend that you encourage your clients to start planning on migrating their code to a modern version considering 5.x hasn't had updated for over 6 years now depending on the sub version. 7.x I'd probably recommend pushing to update their code as well to modern PHP but depends on the subversion.

There is no 5.x version, that was just an example.
There are some 7.x versions that should stay active and running as it does now.
We will be working on updating it, but can't do it immediately because of current software.
