What´s new on plesk 8.1.1? It´s worth the upgrade?

You can find all information about changes in Plesk release notes:

http://download1.swsoft.com/Plesk/Plesk8.1/FedoraC6/psa-8.1.1-fc6.build81070322.16.x86_64.html#ss4.1
4.1 Changelog

1. [+] Miva Empresa support
2. [+] MIVA Merchant and MIVA Merchant Fast Track added to application vault
3. [+] Permission to manage PHP 'safe mode' by Client
4. [+] Change the status of clients and domains in Group Operations
5. [+] Autoinstaller vendor updates in GUI
6. [+] Permission to manage web statistics on a domain
7. [+] Security patches for ProFTPd
8. [+] Domain Alias DNS Zone management
9. [+] Support of Plesk 7.5.4 backup files

Additional information for every changes there in release notes. As I know Plesk 8.2 should be available soon (in the beginning of May). So probably should wait and upgrade to the latest version.

If I do this upgrade on my 8.0 plesk server. Will it upgrade Mysql wihout any problems? Currently its running 3.x Mysql.

Thanks
Mike

I think there is enough information as an answer to your question.

Thank you, that does clear up some of my concerns. My main concern which I have yet to clear up is that of backups and more importanly the restoration of these backups when needed!
However my situation may be further complicated by the fact that my plesk hosting is done with 1&1 who seem to image servers with differing releases of Linux and differing Plesk versions.

Thanks
Mike
