  • Inviting everyone to the UX test of a new security feature in the WP Toolkit
For WordPress site owners, threats posed by hackers are ever-present. Because of this, we are developing a new security feature for the WP Toolkit. If the topic of WordPress website security is relevant to you, we would be grateful if you could share your experience and help us test the usability of this feature. WP toolkit does not upgrade translations

Hello,

It looks like the WP toolkit does not update translations.

Wordpress 6.1.1
WP Toolkit version: 6.1.0-6981
Version 18.0.49 Update #2

After performing updating plugins / themes through the WP toolkit translations are not updated.
Updating translations through the Wordpress backend works.....

Is this common / desired behaviour?

I think in Wordpress itself translations are handled in a separate section from themes and plugins, so yes, as these are no part of the WP Toolkit page, it is maybe not a desired, but at least expected behavior. Anyway, thank you for bringing this up.

Are there any plans to support translation updates in the future?
We're currently using Smart Updates (and loving it!) for nearly 70 WordPress websites and would love to have plugin/theme/core translations updates as well.
