How to compile PHP gd.so module with WebP support

Instruction How to compile PHP gd.so module with WebP support

Latest reviews

It works in 2023,
Used it for php7.0
This works !
Many thanks from the AmaZili team for the primary post and for the comment on php 7.4
For PHP 7.4, change the ./configure line to:
./configure --with-php-config=/opt/plesk/php/7.4/bin/php-config --with-webp --with-freetype --with-jpeg --with-xpm

It appears that you no longer need to specify the directories, or --with-png options anymore.
The instructions still work but I've found I you need to add/remove a module from the PHP version you've updated to get Plesk to rebuild the PHP settings for each host.
Tools & Settings > PHP settings then click on PHP 7.3.x and do the add then remove action.
Instructions outdated and Plesk still does not support WebP
Very great! thanks a lot, we have install it with php 7.3 and all work fine. But still having an big problem, incluse deleting gd rpm, with php updating, gd are automatically reinstalled! Plesk team, please, do something to don't break every time the configuration of webp!!!!
Can you please provide an apt-get version of these instructions? I do not have yum.
What about automatic Updates of PHP after that ?
Nice Work!
you're the best
