Forwarding Mailbox Incoming Email and Not Leaving a Copy

I have exactly the same problem.

When you setup email forwarding without a mailbox, forwarding works fine, no copies are left on the server but it also not possible to connect to the server with SMTP for sending (which makes sense, since there is no mailbox)

On the other hand, when you setup a mailbox, still setup forwarding, then copies are left in the mailbox. It is then possible to connect to the server with SMTP for sending, but the mailbox keeps piling up mails.

This is not satisfactory. I would like an option to disable storage of mail copies in the server mailbox when forwarding is enabled.

What I did is have the mailbox forward all emails to where I want.

Then have a spare/new Gmail account fetch emails from the mailbox on plesk and remove them from the plesk server when it does. That works fine for me. Gmail might build up but that's their problem :p

Just in case anyone comes across this. MailEnable (and most mail things) will allow for this - it just hasn't been integrated in Plesk so you can make the forwarder in Plesk and then just uncheck "Leave a copy in Mailbox" through the MailEnable program.
