Well...I went checking and all my updates are suddenly installed. Been struggling with it for a week but apparently posting something here fixed it ;-). Thanks for the quick answer.

I get the following message in my update log: E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'dpkg --configure -a' to correct the problem. I executed 'dpkg --configure -a' in my terminal (Mac) logged in as root by ssh. After this command I get no error but no message either, just back to the...
