    Thanks Igor, complete uninstall fail2ban, remove /etc/fail2ban/, reinstall and configure fail2ban removes the error. I compared old and new /etc/fail2ban and the only difference I noticed was that /etc/fail2ban/filter.d/postfix-sasl.conf was removed in the new installation.
