Okay. a) So I blocked the IP (was only one all the time) in the Firewall. According to a WhoIs it belongs to a VPS provider. I guess I should contact them to tell them of the unusual actions? b) I adjusted Fail2Ban and c) disabled debug mode. d) I made the suggested changes. Didn't revert them...

The situation kind of scares me a little bit which is why I just disabled the dovecot service for the moment.
