If you are still using CentOS 7.9, it's time to convert to Alma 8 with the free centos2alma tool by Plesk or Plesk Migrator. Please let us know your experiences or concerns in this thread: CentOS2Alma discussion
thank you very much for reply
saw active support till 2024 May, if plesk supports 8.x till 2029 will be perfect
actually have 11 plesk servers with alma 8.9, very very stable
Now Almalinux 9 is supported, did anyone try in place upgrade from 8.9 to plesk servers??
8.x EOL is in less than 3 months so need to inplace upgrade as server providers
i use do not offer yet plesk + alma 9 combination
Thanks!
i did not have the psa-firewall.service but had the psa-firewall (i assume it is table or something)
that removed with dnf remove psa-firewall.
plesk-firewal.service was still there (it is the new name for service after 18.0.53 i think) so iptables was safe.
Installed with plesk installer...
Attached KVM over IP to be sure.
Works as Peter wrotes

So Peter the procedure you suggest is:
dnf remove plesk-firewall
plesk installer update ( or maybe upgrade if it is not minor version update)
after 18.0.55 reinstall plesk-firewall service from plesk extensions?
thanks
You reinstalled plesk firewall extension after the update?
dnf remove psa-firewall for me will bring the message that does not exist as my service is plesk-firewall
No way to work the server without the plesk firewall, have whiteisted ips for various services etc, better to wait for a fix as active view is working i think
same here, did not see this thread and posted details here:
