  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Resolved how to get the plesk obsidian mysql / mariadb (?) root-replacement user "admin" password?

Using this command would be a better way to login mysql -uadmin -p$(cat /etc/psa/.psa.shadow)

Thanks for that Kasper! I appreciate it. I did search the forums but couldn't find a decent comparison between all these products.

Question E-mail anti spam suggestion (incoming/outgoing)

We're looking for a way to filter incoming and outgoing spam e-mails. I've looked at the following extensions and am curious which one would be recommended the most. Important to us (priority high to low): 1. Outgoing filtering --> zero tolerance blocking to maintain an excellent reputation...

Question Issue/Renew Let's Encrypt certificate if site is behind cloudflare

I was hoping to avoid this method because I don't want all the records that Plesk generates in Cloudflare. Do you have the CF proxy enabled for everything except the mail subdomain?

Question Issue/Renew Let's Encrypt certificate if site is behind cloudflare

This isn't a solid solution, the NS record will cause issues in the long term. You'll get: SSL_ERROR_NO_CYPHER_OVERLAP when you have the CF proxy enabled. At least that's my conclusion after trying this method.

Resolved attempts after reaching the limit

I would also prefer the messages to be delayed instead of discarded. Admins will be notified when the limit has been reached, they can inspect the mail que and determine if the send out mails are spam. If not, mail is still being send out (delayed). If it is spam, they can clear the que and...

Question Blocking all connections to a Plesk domain except 2

This would be a nice workaround. Unfortunately whitelisting CF's ip range doesn't work for me, it still blocks access. Could it be that my cloudflare-fail2ban configuration is responsible for identifying traffic to apache/nginx with the original IP? How To Use Fail2ban With WordPress And...

Question Reverse DNS not matching - so confused

Yes that would be the preferred method of handeling things. I didn't touch the Postfix config however and this is a fresh install, Plesk made the initial changes and didn't correct afterwards.

Question Reverse DNS not matching - so confused

@Peter Debik Thanks for the reply. I managed to solve my issue. In the postfix config file (/etc/postfix/main.cf), all the way at the bottom, there was a hostname parameter set to an old (temporary) hostname "xxxxxx.89-116-52-173.plesk.page". Once I changed this to the actual hostname, my...

Question Reverse DNS not matching - so confused

Did you manage to solve your issue? For me setting outgoing mail mode to "send from domain IP addresses", changes the HELO banner from the client domain to an old temporary-domain the package once used to have "xxxxxx.89-116-52-173.plesk.page" (must be a bug?). I just want to change the HELO...
