The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.
We’re working on enhancing the Monitoring feature in Plesk, and we could really use your expertise! If you’re open to sharing your experiences with server and website monitoring or providing feedback, we’d love to have a one-hour online meeting with you.
Now they also want to get rid of the right side-panel. Something which we use daily.
And the other day, they made some change (called "tech domain") and it completely fvcked our server creation script in regards of the hostname... Sigh.
By the way; the only thing Plesk does care about is increasing their pricing (again) in 2022. And why is that?
Well let me quote something from their page Pricing Adjustment 2022 here:
Guess that does not include VzLinux 8 and other RHEL 8 based distro's? Or wait... Are we paying for that?
Oh...
Yeah right... Plesk does not listen. Plesk does not care. Plesk does nothing with feedback or with our submitted features (here). The only thing Plesk is really, really, really good at, is increasing their pricing on a regular base nowadays.
More information about this new price increase here: Plesk Price Adjustment 2021/2022 - FAQ Partners
It seems Plesk is increasing now their pricing yearly (massively). We are losing already more and more (server) customers who think Plesk is expensive already. And on that we agree. A...
Apparently Plesk changed something to the UI (quite useless imho), which makes creating new customer's a pain to be honest...
Not to mention it doesn't look very clean anymore.
See the two screenshots.
We really do NOT like this change. So revert or make it possible that we can enable /...
No worries IgorG, I can control my emotions (in typed messages) pretty well! Have been doing so the past 4 or 5 years dealing with Plesk in general. I would have placed a smiley here, but apparently that's not allowed anymore?
Maybe if Plesk would actually listen to their long-standing...
@Igor pretty pathetic to remove posts. I just compared products, that's not advertising.
Plesk is really becoming a bad product with excessive pricing and power hungry staff. Also first it's stated VzLinux 8 is supported, then not (even in support tickets) and now it's becoming supported...
Why? I was replying to john0001's answer. DirectAdmin has come a long way (in terms of interface and documentation) and their pricing is still way better than Plesk. Plesk could learn something from that.
Also DA supports VzLinux 8! So that is pretty on-topic. If you do not like it, then simply...
Plesk... or better put; Oakley Capital, does not like this "extra" work and they also do not care about their customers.
As a matter of fact; I expect that there will be a new price increase (again) sooner than later with Plesk or any other piece of software that this investment company has...
@futureweb invest in DirectAdmin instead; it has become way better than (let's say) 2 years ago. Moden interface and supports everything. Support is getting better. And the best part? 1/8 the price of Plesk! ;-)
Plesk is a money greedy company, after Oakley Capital took over. Period.
We had a big meeting with our team and CEO today because of Plesk, Plesk support and Plesk pricing in general. We are going to cancel our 200+ licenses. This was enough. We are fed up with the pathetic support, a product...
According to Plesk VzLinux 8.x will not be supported at all!
First response from Lev Iurev from Plesk support:
I've just receive an update from development team. Due to low demand for VZLinux 7 with Plesk they do not plan support for VZLinux 8 at the moment.
Second reply from Vitaly Zhidkov...
Also did some reading on old(er) articles. It's always fun what you can find.
E.g. on website theWHIR (archive link, so slow load) back in 2017 about the acquisition by Oakley Capital.
I will quote a few parts of that review:
While it used to compete in the traditional control panel space, its...
@ip00 you might be interested in reading the original thread about their massive price increase from 2018 as well.
You can find the forum thread here. Might be good for a few laughs about Plesk price increases and how they treat partners.
Ah yes, there is even another thing. A few months back Plesk was advertising very cheap discount prices for end-users on their own website. That discount was even better as we are getting as a Plesk Partner. As a result we received two orders in a short time for two simple plain servers and they...
You can tell customers what you wish, but noone of them will understand these price increases every time. Before the previous price increase Plesk didn't increase their pricing for ages (10+ years or so).
Every since Plesk (and cPanel) were acquired by an investment company, price increases are...
