  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

Exactly how does the new Dedicated FPM application served by Apache work? And what does it do, compared to normal FPM application? :) I have read the documentation, however right now, the description on this is limited :)

Question CentOS is shifting focus from CentOS 8 to CentOS Stream

https://almalinux.org/ "As stated, AlmaLinux will be a 1:1 binary compatible fork of RHEL, which means that your applications and services will remain compatible. For that reason, you can rapidly migrate any number of servers with just one command." "CloudLinux has committed to supporting...

    Question CentOS 8

Keep in mind that CentOS 8 supports full package updates from official repos, up until 2024. CentOS 7 no longer gets full package updates - only security updates. I would go with CentOS 8. It got a few things missing, but it is absolutely doing it's job. No bugs noticed yet - though some...

    Question CentOS 8

Also if you use Atomicorp ModSecurity, they dont work at the moment. They said they would support it in the 18.0.31 update, if no important bugfixes pushes it back until 18.0.32.

Issue I'll hire someone to fix our outgoing mail issues at plesk

Hi Jacek, It's possible you're in a DNS BL at Google and Microsoft (microsoft DNSBL covers all Exchange mail, live.com, outlook.com etc) If you believe that SPF and DKIM are in order, you should reach out to Google and Microsoft. It is possible to view outgoing mail logs in /var/log/maillog...

Resolved Fresh Plesk on Dedicated Server

We migrated from CentOS 7 to a new CentOS 8 setup. The only difference we feel is that Atomicorp is not supported - not that big a difference, we are using Comodo instead. On CentOS 7 full updates are ending later this year, only pushing out security updates then. I would however recommend...

Question Lets Encrypt / SSL it

Every now and then we find a site that didn't renew properly on the www alias, causing an SSL warning on the website. The only thing to do, is to go through every site manually in the browser, when this occurs to find if others have an wrongly renewed certificate. Is there an easier way to...

Question Same license key on 2 servers long enough for migration?

You can request a new trial key. I have a CentOS 8 server on a virtual box i test stuff on every now and then and i pretty much have to request a new trial key every time i boot it up, as long time passes in between.

    CentOS 8 support

Unfortunatly this was incorrect. After further investigation, Atomicorp reports of a rough ETA around October 2020 :(

    CentOS 8 support

Hi Seqoi, I contacted Atomicorp that replies that RHEL and CentOS 8 already is supported. I contacted the Plesk support with this information and they are currently investigating. Fingers crossed it wont take long :)

    Issue DDOS attack

ModSecurity with Fail2ban can be a solution for you. It can be a very powerful tool in stopping floods, it does however require for you to get familiar with the syntax and how it works.

    CentOS 8 support

We have had some issues in the past with Debian 9 and Atomicorp, once Plesk was supported on Debian 9. It took quite a while (months, almost a year) before Atomicorp was available. I certainly hope Atomicorp works faster with CentOS 8 support.

    CentOS 8 support

Seems to be working just fine here. Just except for the Atomicorp that we need - but i see Plesk already accounted for this one, so we will await it. Nice job @plesk!

    Resolved Will LetsEncrypt auto-renew?

Closing my question. I saw this changelog post: Granular and reliable renew process: the extension now performs a daily check for certificates which are about to expire and renews them not earlier than 30 days before their expiration

    Resolved Will LetsEncrypt auto-renew?

As i said, we're used to Plesk/Lets-Encrypt doing auto-renewals every month. It missed last month however i can from our websites on the server. We have got 2 different CentOS servers and the "issue?" is the same on both servers. Certificate screenshot from browser: Gyazo -...
