• Our team is looking to connect with folks who use email services provided by Plesk, or a premium service. If you'd like to be part of the discovery process and share your experiences, we invite you to complete this short screening survey. If your responses match the persona we are looking for, you'll receive a link to schedule a call at your convenience. We look forward to hearing from you!
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.
  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.

    Resolved Webmail don't work

Check what nameservers your domain is using and simply add a DNS "A" record pointing to your server's IP address. In the mean time, if you go to the webmail for your .it domain, I think you'll be able login there with a mailbox on your .com domain. That will allow you to do some testing while...

Question /usr/lib64/plesk-9.0/postfix-sendmail-wrapper - what does it do?

Is the "postfix-sendmail-wrapper" a binary executable, or just a script? It's common to use wrapper scripts to get more information, such as when trying to find the origin of SPAM. https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/213914405

Resolved Bulk change main FTP account passwords

If you know all the ftp userids you can use the command line interface. Safer than messing with the configuration database. https://docs.plesk.com/en-US/onyx/cli-linux/using-command-line-utilities/ftpsubaccount-additional-ftp-accounts.64417/ e.g. plesk bin ftpsubaccount --update JohnDoe...

Question Different outgoing IPs in Qmail

You can do this through the Plesk Panel, in the Server-Wide Mail Settings, but only with Postfix. Switching to Postfix is quite simple. I haven't done it myself, but this guide appears to deal with chanigng the IP address on a per-domain basis with Qmail...

Resolved Plesk 12.0.18 in Debian 7.8 all permissions server-wide set to root:root

A bit late now, bu if it's just Horde/Roundcube, I'd start by removing them from the Plesk Updates and Upgrades page, then re-install. That won't affect user data.

Question PHP mail() function mails record

You could try using the Postfix wrapper script, as used for tracing SPAM. That might give you the information you want. https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/213914405

    Question Plesk ftps and rsync?

Using FTP to transfer large files over the Internet works, but can be slow. I've seen a Plesk server with an FTP repository running on a home storage system with an FTP server built in and a large backup (about 12GB) took 24 hours to load back onto the server. The FTP server was connected via...

Issue Mailserver does not work "out of the box"

You should also ensure that ReverseDNS (aka PTR) is set for your IP address(es). Failure to do this will get you blacklisted. You may need to get your server provider to set this for you. For the Microsoft services - Hotmail etc - you may need to register with their SNDS service as they run...

    Question Plesk ftps and rsync?

I've used servers to backup various things remotely - mostly Linux stuff, via ssh - but I'm not sure that being on a Plesk server would actually give any advantage. It might help if you could outline what it is that you are hoping to back up, and for what purpose? The way you take backups...

Issue No e-mails to Hotmail/t-online/ possible

Check for blacklisting of your IP address(es). I usually use MX Toolbox. For the Microsoft services like Hotmail, try registering with SNDS if you can. MS Smart Network Data Services (SNDS) If you haven't already done so, make sure your server has a fully qualified hostname, and that you have...

When you logged in you went to root's home directory, /root so of course /var isn't under there. Just do cd /var/www/vhosts and it should work fine.
