  • The Horde component is removed from Plesk Installer. We recommend switching to another webmail software supported in Plesk.
  • The BIND DNS server has already been deprecated and removed from Plesk for Windows.
If a Plesk for Windows server is still using BIND, the upgrade to Plesk Obsidian 18.0.70 will be unavailable until the administrator switches the DNS server to Microsoft DNS. We strongly recommend transitioning to Microsoft DNS within the next 6 weeks, before the Plesk 18.0.70 release.

Resolved Take Two! Error: SQLSTATE[HY000]: General error: 1449 The user specified as a definer ('root'@'localhost') does not exist

This is the second time I am posting on a thread about this. First time brought out the trolls, so here's the deal, all over again: Following instructions to look for the latest supported version from MariaDB, I ended up with a 10.4.x version. However, it munges the username, evidently. So...

    Question Upgrade MariaDB

In my forums, trolls are quickly banned. You should be grateful the folks at Plesk are more tolerant. I’ll set up a new thread and start from where I left off. As William Shatner once said, “get a life.” Gene

    Question Upgrade MariaDB

Those who have lost the debate inevitably revert to false accusations. Long and short is that my remaining question, about implementing a command, was never answered. I must assume you cannot answer it and this you resort to smoke and mirrors. Please leave this thread and leave it for someone...

    Question Upgrade MariaDB

The only limit I see is in your inability to understand what I want. It's just the proper instructions to fix the problem. I cited one above, and merely asked for the proper means of implementation. Then you went off into neverland. My assumption here, based on your excuses, is that you...

    Question Upgrade MariaDB

This is all nonsense. I just want an answer to my request. it’s one reason I’m reluctant to ask questions here. It almost always descends into irrelevant side issues. if you can’t answer my question, please don’t waste my time. if you can help, please do so and accept my thanks. Gene

    Question Upgrade MariaDB

Actually, my fresh, new Obsidian DID NOT install 10.3.x. If it did, there would be no issue. It installed a 5.x version, which resulted in problems using databases set up on a WHM/cPanel server. In any case, Plesk will not help because they do not officially support the current MariaDB version...

    Question Upgrade MariaDB

And let me cut to the chase. The upgrade to a MariaDB 10.x version was due to the fact that the version installed with Plesk Obsedian is much older, and thus wouldn't allow me to fully import and use a couple of the key databases set up on my original WHM/cPanel server. I followed a tech...

    Question Upgrade MariaDB

Not relevant, because I'm not doing a backup. Everything works so far. My concern is whenever I have to create a user and/or database. The suggestion that I just backup and start over is, by any practical measure, not realistic. Peace,; Gene

    Question Upgrade MariaDB

This one seems helpful: grant all on *.* to 'root'@'%' identified by 'password' with grant option; But where am I running that anyway? If I run as an SQL query, wouldn't that have to be done with all databases? Peace, Gene

    Question Upgrade MariaDB

Not my issue. I am not going to restore a server with active sites on it. I just want to fix the problem. I assume any upgrade issues will be resolved over time. Peace, Gene

    Question Upgrade MariaDB

Following instructions to look for the latest supported version from MariaDB, I ended up with a 10.4.x version. However, it munges the username, evidently. So when I attempt to perform any database action, such as adding/removing a user or database I get: Error: SQLSTATE[HY000]: General...

Resolved The component perl is not installed on the destination server.

This is a non-answer. I want to install the Bundle DadaMail (it's separated by a colon but that converts to a symbol here) for the DadaMail mailing list manager, but I cannot find a command line sequence that'll do it. The one I located, perl -MCPAN -e 'install Bundle: DadaMail', doesn't work...

Issue Running unset PERL5LIB Across Sessions

In order to copy domains from my Plesk server to a backup server, running the latest cPanel, I have to engage the unset PERL5LIB command across multiple sessions. Right now it seems to only work with one connection. My Plesk server runs 12.5.30, latest updates. How do I do this? Peace, Gene

mail spf + domain key problems

I copy/pasted the settings from the Plesk DNS to Cloudflare. This happens on all domains I checked, and while I suppose I could make a mistake on one of them, not on all. I suppose I could send this privately. Don't want to paste it here. Peace, Gene

mail spf + domain key problems

Similar: I have my domains configured via a Cloudflare account, using their DNS setup. I copied the DKIM code as a TXT record, precisely as indicated in the Plesk 12.5.30 DNS settings. But when I check the message headers in Gmail, iCloud, etc., the DKIM isn't recognized. ??? Peace, Gene

    Webmail Not Working....

OK, I got the reconfigure command to work. Copying your text must have had an eroding error. I made the timezone change in roundcube's php.ini file, but that doesn't concern me. Still cannot access the webmail from that one domain. What logs do you want? Peace, Gene

    Webmail Not Working....

No good. I get: Error occured while sending feedback. HTTP code returned: 502 Unknown command: --reconfigureall [root@server ~]# ?????? As to timezones, each email account that uses Roundcube had the time set to local time (-7.00 Arizona).

    Webmail Not Working....

FYI: The Apache error logs do not indicate anything about accessing webmail.rockoids.com, which is where the problem occurs. The Roundcube error logs only show: [12-May-2016 18:43:22 UTC] PHP Warning: strtotime(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are *required* to...
