Dear Pleskians! The Plesk Forum will be undergoing scheduled maintenance on Monday, 7th of July, at 9:00 AM UTC. The expected maintenance window is 2 hours.
Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding on the matter.
Can Plesk please absolutely specify the format they desire for making public keys work in the Plesk user interface? The error given is far from helpful.
@Sebahat.hadzhi
We are also having this exact issue. Last week migrations worked fine, now they're coming up with this error from the same source server.
Ok, the HTML 404 link on the original article has now been magically updated and points here:
https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/12377599961367-How-to-enable-gzip-compression-in-Apache-on-Plesk-server
Which correctly shows the way to achieve what we need. :)
@Kaspar this server does not have Nginx on it. It has Apache. Previously on other systems Apache has a native module for allowing compression typically via "mod_deflate".
Yet again, Plesk itself doesn't give the details about what Plesk is (or is not) providing.
Ok, thank you for that...
I am used to being able to deliver website content to the end user via compressed delivery of content, saving something around 78% of bandwidth costs outwards.
I can't see any reference or mention of this at all in any way on Plesk control panel / admin panel.
I have found "How to enable gzip...
How do we achieve the below in Plesk?
Both domains are controlled by the same account, one is a placeholder domain, but emails can be sent to either and be forwarded to the mailboxes on domain-two.co.uk
How can this be done in Plesk?
This question above has a specific answer for this specific situation above.
But, I have another very similar situation. The same issue is here, but the claim is that "mail.domain-name.com" reverse DNS is not a valid Hostname, but the mail. DNS and the mail. part of the address is never used.
It is useful to note here that for servers running on a single (1) IP address that the notation for the subnet mask requires /32 .
For servers running on a pair (2) of IP addresses the notation the subnet mask required is /30
@Nikolay Thank you. I was not aware that Dropbox had version history like this. While I personally would prefer date-based file naming for ease, your clarification does help and mitigates the fear of overwriting the persistent same file. Thank you. :-)
We have the Plesk Backup using Dropbox as an external depository.
However, the backup always uses the same filename, so it only ever saves one back up at a time. Overwriting the previous one.
How can we make the backup filename both in Plesk and exported to Dropbox have dates in the file...
UPDATE:
This is still happening despite the option being set. We had a good morning with this logout not occurring but that's now doing it twice in the last 15 minutes.
Thank you.
My question is not about asking you personally what settings should be set. My question is how do I discover these settings for myself from my Plesk Mail setup? THAT is my issue -- that I need to come to this forum and then take the word of another forum user for what value a setting...
@learning_curve thank you for your reply. Yes, the issue is the iPhone but I can't compare the iPhone connection details to the accepted server details... because the server can't show me what details are being used or required.
I am coming from WHM which has a host of options and a full canon...
While the IP at this end doesn't change more often than every 24-48 hours, selecting this option does indeed seem to make log ins more stable. Thank you.
@scsa20
No, you misunderstand, I am in the middle of doing things on the server, and then Plesk decides to log me out. The down time between page loads is like seconds or max 120 seconds, rather than minutes.
SOLUTION:
This is not a Plesk issue exactly, but the `authorized_keys` file needs to have the key encryption type set inside the file before the key hash value, separated by a whitespace .

We have a client who can not connect to their Plesk server email address from their iphone, but they can connect from their PC.
The Plesk email settings give me NO INFORMATION about password attributes or encryption, for example what is the connection security ? For example what is the...
