Dear Pleskians! The Plesk Forum will be undergoing scheduled maintenance on Monday, 7th of July, at 9:00 AM UTC. The expected maintenance window is 2 hours.
Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding on the matter.
Hello everyone,
I would like to give some more reaction on this price increase topic, maybe interesting for others too. This is reaction is based on some sleepless nights, thinking on this story.
First of all, I really would like highlight, that of course price increases seem to be extreme; on...
I had a Look at cplicense.net and from what I heard from 3rd parties they can be trusted BUT they do not offer extensions.
cplicenses.net Rates:
Web Admin $ 8.7
Web Pro: $ 13.5
Web Host: $ 23.5
Have a Look at ip-projects.de: (Plesk Licenses - IP Projects)
Web Admin: € 8,90
Web Pro: € 12,90
Web...
Hello, I think it would be good to implement official co-existence routines with Microsoft 365. We use that hybrid stuff quite often, by manually forwarding to internal M365 (onmicrosoft.com) email addresses.
Also automatic DNSBL monitoring for server IPs would be interesting.
And maybe mail...
hello. Totally agree, but then I have to ask the question why not using CentOS 7 with self built GUi again. We only use capabilities to configure Apache and Mail, not more.
Cloudlinux with PHP5.3 also requires ELS from Plesk
I personally think if Plesk will not start to support PHP 5.3 soon it anyway makes no more sense. Because by forcing people to upgrade to newer OS, you require them to get rid of PHP 5.3 customers.
To answer your question: Many hosters do start taking money, we won't - because it is the reason...
So we have still many customers with old sites, that for sure will need upgrades. Same for our own internal services, but some of them are really extreme old and need old MySQL connection methods (mysql_connect, no mysqli - well okay I heard today in the forum that there is a fix) but...
Nope, about 230 of our customers still use PHP 5.3
Also internally we still have appx 40GB code of PHP 5.3 applications.
Here in Austria it is very common that Hosters still offer PHP 5.3 for new hosts…
Hello,
Thanks for this great tip but unfortunately the biggest issue for me is, that register globals is not working with newer PHP versions.
This is a really extreme old application…
Thx
Hello everyone,
From what I can see Plesk now supports PHP 5.6 for AlmaLinux 8 and 9 (https://support.plesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/24100606657431-How-to-install-outdated-PHP-versions-on-Plesk-servers-with-AlmaLinux-OS). I think this is great, especially as developers highlighted for several time...
I do not think
I am not sure if I understand this correctly but if I go to outlook and use autodiscovery for EXAMPLE.COM email addresses, it will try to connect to AUTODISCOVER.EXAMPLE.COM, and this is enabled by going to the mail settings of the domain and activating the checkbox for...
@Peter Debik this is a good question, that's going through my head every day I would say. We even see more and more customers migrating to us because we can still deliver PHP 5.3 support. Funny thing is, that we even have more people asking for PHP 5.3 than PHP 5.6.
Currently we have the...
I can confirm that the script is looking good. At least we won‘t be able to migrate that soon due to the fact that we still have more than 100 customers using actively PHP 5.3.
Totally understand that the old PHP is out of support for a long time already, but many applications do not run on...
Hi,
I had this situation as well, already a few months ago. May I ask you: Do you use nginx as layer 1/proxy and apache then for processing PHP?
If so, I'd suggest to try it without nginx. In our case nginx+apache combination caused this issue.
best,
manni
@scsa20: I think he is using a cloud provider and has a optional pfSense.
So I guess he‘s has to get rid of the private IP (10…. or 192…. or 172….) from the VPS and has to reconfigure on the public IP.
If I understood it correctly, a public IP is assigned to the VPS and the pfSense is only for...
Ah, I see. I just did this a few weeks ago for a customer.
There is no official way in plesk to switch the primary IP. So if you want a clean setup, the only chance is, to change your database manually and force the reconfiguration on your server. It is hard to explain without seeing in detail...
@Adarre I can only tell you that Wildcard certificates sometimes cause issues. It‘s the same with subdomains, aliases… Sometimes they‘ll get lost.
I think it is caused because of DNS cache.
Here is the why:
1. Plesk / cronjob automatically updates DNS policy with new ACME policy
2. Then the...
Hi robinwolff,
I am not sure if your question makes sense:
You cannot login to the console via a customer account, but only with a hosting / subscription account.
So the user could login, and lock his subscription - which would mean that it will be synced again with his service package. But...
