have you checked if the domain in question has a reverse DNS entry

Correction here, it works with PHP v5.6.10 also

This works, but if the domain has PHPv 5.6.10 it will not work, the version needs to be downgraded to 5.5 for this method to work, also you need to restart psa via root login to make it work....

Darius tomcat 7 will work with CentOS 7 and Plesk 12, you need to upgrade to CentOS 7. However, on the panel, tomcat service may show as not running, but it is running, just that the panel will not show it....
