More and more I am failing to see the value of Cloudlinux. So much so that I am considering moving my Plesk panel to a non-Cloudlinux server. Has anyone ever done this and would not mind sharing the experience?

Alex, Thanks for your reply. Yes, as the sysadmin I am able to do this, but this happens every time a customer wants to change their email username. This surely is not what Odin wants Plesk to do by default. Is there a way to stop the problem from happening in the first place?

I found my problem. Somehow, some way, the cgi_wrapper got changed into a symlink like so... /var/www/cgi-bin/cgi_wrapper/cgi_wrapper -> /usr/bin/sw-engine-cgi After I restored the original cgi_wrapper from a backup, then everything started working again. Not sure if I screwed this up when...

What is the point of using the folder name "cl.php.d" ? The above did not work for me? I have CL 6.6 server btw.

Any reason why you chose php53 and not 54 or 55 ? Just wondering before I try this. I think fastcgi is broken on my native php install, since that seems to be the core reason all this is not working. :(
