Is the issue on one specific domain or all domains? also did you try the kb i posted earlier?

Do you have root access to the server via ssh? If you do, i suggest you take a look at your log files using tail -f while reproducing the error to see if you can see which file is it that is giving permission issue.

Hi javismiles, i don't think this is a bug, plesk generate a self signed certificate by default server wide. when you want to add a certificate to a domain, you will need to give that domain a dedicated ip address and add the certificate, this change will take some time to propagate and results...

I confirmed ftp is infact running as xinetd, however, when xinetd is stop, for some reason i was still able to access ftp. i stopped xinetd again and this seems to work as ftp was no longer accessible. This issue is resolved and does not require any further reply.

I notice plesk is using psa-proftpd, but not able to stop or start it, further research revealed its being run under /etc/init.d/xinetd , i doubt that though, because stopping xinetd doesnt stop ftp. How is ftp controlled?

SalvadorS, exactly why i asked, how long ago, i figured it was propagation related, and would simple start working properly after some time, as i recently had similar experience.

SalvadorS, how long has it been since you assigned the dedicated ip?

You should also consider changing your ssh port from default 22 to something above 1024.

Hi SavasLevent What Os are you using and which version of plesk? Also do you have a firewall install, as well as a brute force detection app?

Thanks a lot danami, i commend you on that specific / precise approach, an approach parallel should have taken. The only way to configure a firewall properly for sure is to know the ports applications are using, along with protocol and direction they use.

Not sure i follow exactly which server to which server you pinged, but do you have a firewall installed? What are your server specification, as in which OS etc.
