• Hi, Pleskians! We are running a UX testing of our upcoming product intended for server management and monitoring.
We would like to invite you to have a call with us and have some fun checking our prototype. The agenda is pretty simple - we bring new design and some scenarios that you need to walk through and succeed. We will be watching and taking insights for further development of the design.
If you would like to participate, please use this link to book a meeting. We will sent the link to the clickable prototype at the meeting.
  • Our UX team believes in the in the power of direct feedback and would like to invite you to participate in interviews, tests, and surveys.
To stay in the loop and never miss an opportunity to share your thoughts, please subscribe to our UX research program. If you were previously part of the Plesk UX research program, please re-subscribe to continue receiving our invitations.
  • The Horde webmail has been deprecated. Its complete removal is scheduled for April 2025. For details and recommended actions, see the Feature and Deprecation Plan.

Issue Cannot access vite config file

Thanks for replying @Esteark I appreciate it. I've raised a ticket with Plesk so hopefully they'll be able to shine some light on it. In the meantime, if you have access via remote desktop, you could always run npm run build via GIT Bash, that's what I've just had to do. It had no problems...

    Issue node permissions problem

Same problem here also! Any ideas?

Issue Cannot access vite config file

@kylexu22 and @Esteark did either of you manage to solve this? I'm faced with the same issue also. @scsa20 It's a deployment using Plesk Laravel Tools so it should just work without the need for changing permissions.

Input Enormous price increases yet again for 2025

@Sebahat.hadzhi your reply hasn't given me any further confidence unfortunately. Plesk's use of UserVoice is again laughable, "user demand"? There are so many items that have received high votes and have not been implemented, some going back more than 10 years! Uservoice is literally...

Input Enormous price increases yet again for 2025

IF Plesk actually improved the core product, completed the features and suggestions over on Uservoice instead of adding "Works in progress" to it I might have more of a view point of "They're actually working hard towards giving people what they want, the increase is less bitter to swallow" but...

Question 22.46% Price Increase - Are you mad?!

If anyone has experience of alternative hosting control panels for Windows/IIS servers please do message me. Ideally one that's capable of web hosting and mail (we host mail separately on dedicated mail servers but still want to manage via control panels).

Input Enormous price increases yet again for 2025

Sebahat, that part of your reply in bold is quite laughable! There is literally a whole suggestion forum on Uservoice of Plesk's customer base begging for features, improvements or just fixes and we're told "Don't forget to vote for this feature" and we're left to cross our fingers and hope...

Question How to update vhosts path (not change, update)

Hi, I've installed Plesk a couple of weeks ago as part of a server migration and didn't realise at the time but the path was set to C:\Inetpub\vhosts (uppercase I) when the directory is actually C:\inetpub\vhosts (lowercase i). Although the Plesk install is ok and and sites are mostly working...

Question 22.46% Price Increase - Are you mad?!

We have Plesk Web Host Edition. We don't use it as a reseller or any of the reseller functions, we utilise the unlimited domains feature for the clients we manage (we're a web design company). Last year in November we paid £598.95 I've just received an email from Cleverbridge saying it'll...

Resolved Corrupt .cer files? All domains

Your browser may have cached redirects. Clear your internet files/history and try it. Also make sure you don't have an web.config/.htaccess left in the directory.

Resolved Corrupt .cer files? All domains

The .cer files were their entry points. They later get filled with scripts and codes that provide them with further access/functionality. From that point they can edit any file they want. You'll need to audit all of your files looking for foreign code (code that doesn't belong there). If you...

Resolved Corrupt .cer files? All domains

The solution is correcting the vulnerable code you're hosting, can't help you there as it could be anything so you'll need to do an audit. Until then the batch script I shared will remove the files. But that's just treating the symptom and not the cause.

Question open_basedir and WordPress, general consensus needed, configured or none?

@Peter Debik and @IgorG apologies for tagging, I know you're busy guys but it would be great to get your perspective on this please.

Question What is your opinion on the upcuming Domain Card look and feel?

Looks a bit amateur and dated (with the rounded borders around icons), more of a step back than progression. The existing grey mini icons are much simpler and look more sleek. Will this look only apply to Customer Views? Will Server Administrator views remain the same? (I'm hoping they will...

Resolved Corrupt .cer files? All domains

@DataPacket you're welcome, hope it helps! These files were a bit of a surprise to me too, I thought at first it may have been from one of Plesk's processes or related to Let's Encrypt but then started seeing some of the .cer extensions change to ,aspx and .php and knew something wasn't right.

Question Blocking bots at server level

@Jean-LucP this has to be done within IIS and Request Filtering. Perform this on the main server/site. Once in Request Filtering, click on the Rules tab and a new Filtering Rule which scans the User-Agent within the headers and then deny strings such as MJ12bot, there are lots of other bots...

Resolved Corrupt .cer files? All domains

I've seen this, they're not corrupt .cer files, they're an indicator/evidence that your hosting has been compromised and hacked. You'll see random files that have reserved/forbidden names/extentions such as LPT1.***.cer, the contents of the .cer file will later be replaced with ASP. They use...

Question open_basedir and WordPress, general consensus needed, configured or none?

Thanks for your input @scsa20 ! I guess another/the main question (to everyone) is if open_basedir was set to none, how easy would it be for someone to use PHP to explore outside of the subscription's root directory (i.e. inetpub/vhosts) and either navigate around directories belonging to other...
