Issue 502 Bad Gateway when trying to upload SSL certificate for domain

cjhmdm

New Pleskian
I bought an SSL certificate from name.com (RapidSSL) and when attempting to upload the crt and ca.crt files to plesk, every time i click upload it goes to a 502 bad gateway error.

Plesk error log shows the following:

2016/10/13 10:48:11 [error] 1230#0: *94 recv() failed (104: Connection reset by peer) while reading response header from upstream, client: xx.xx.xx.xx, server: , request: "POST /smb/ssl-certificate/edit/id/35/certificateId/13 HTTP/1.1", upstream: "fastcgi://unix:/var/run/sw-engine.sock:", host: "sites.domain.com:8443", referrer: "https://sites.domain.com:8443/smb/ssl-certificate/edit/id/35/certificateId/13"

I know it's not an issue with the ssl cert as I've used certs from name.com before without issue.
I've already made sure the server is up to date, restarted services and even rebooted the server completely to no avail...

Hi cjhmdm,

pls. consider to use the "repair utility", which finds and repairs quite a lot of issues. Sometimes it is as well a good idea, just to update/upgrade your installed packages with yum or apt-get/aptitude.

In addition, it could be a good idea to increase the log - level for Plesk, so that the output may lead to a more verbose output for investigations:

Hello,

As stated in my first post, I already made sure the system was up to date. I didn't mention however that I ran the plesk repair utility as well, to no avail.

I ended up getting the cert installed via the command line, but still no luch using the web interface
