9.5.3 from 9.5.2 update failure. Sites offline. Please help. Details included.

went into parallels plesk updater within admin, said there was an update to 9.5.3 from 9.5.2.

Ran the update from within the admin, something went wrong and sites went down.

Various things I tried, took 10 hrs and finally had to restore server image to a week old build to get sites back.

When on the non working 9.5.3 I noticed it was adding additional these additional lines to the bottom of the http.conf file:

AddType text/html .shtml
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps

meaning these lines were written twice in the file. I obivously the duplicate lines out and restarted server but sites still didnt work.

Here are the email details I got after update, please can someone let me know what happened and what I should do if I want to update to a working 9.5.3 build? As it stands I cant update.

for reference I always keep things upto date with yum upgrade.

Plesk support is useless, especially when the software breaks. always has been.

no email response, no forum response.

its about time parallels employed some full time people to manage these forums, they have loads of customers and the amount of unanswered support queries in this forum is huge.

im fed up waiting for help for a product I pay good money for, we'll be migrating all our services to cpanel, at least they support their software adequately.
